Automatically  create directories from a xls file. Useful and fast utility to create customers folders, courses, dates, topics, etc.

The Directories Creator is used to create directories from a Microsoft Excel workbook, containing a list of directory names. These directories can be created manually in Windows Explorer, or automatically with this utility.

The Directories Creator is fully customizable, so you can add your own names to the directory list. There are three main settings you need to adjust to customize the behavior of the Directories Creator:

Input directory
– The directory from which to create the output folders. You can choose one or more.

Out folder
– The folder where the output folders are created. This is the default location.

Output folders
– A list of subfolders where the output folders will be created.

More  information  about  the  settings  and  how  to  use  them  can  be  found  on  the  Windows  explorer:  Go  to:  File     –      New  Folder
You  can  create  multiple  directories  by  using  a  separated  value  comma  or  value  line  for  each  directory  you  want  created.  See  Table  1.

Table 1.  Example:  To  create  a  Courses  folder  and  all  it’s  subfolders  in  a  course  topic,  follow  this  example:
 Input  directory   =  C:\Users\user\Desktop\folder\
Out  folder=  C:\Users\user\Desktop\folder\output\
Output  folders=  C:\Users\user\Desktop\folder\output\folders\

It  will  create  C:\Users\user\Desktop\folder\folders\Courses  and  subfolders  from  a  list  of  Courses  and  subfolders  (see  Table  2).
